“It’s critical to elect legislators like Kevin who will make the tough decisions necessary to improve the economy and retain jobs, He will also take the steps necessary to keep Connecticut fiscally sound and prepared for growth and job creation when our economic conditions improve.”

John R. Rathgeber, Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) President and CEO.

Kevin Witkos - 2008 Connecticut State Senate Candidate

Kevin Witkos State Senate Commercial

Dear Neighbor,

I am running for State Senate because I believe that I can help the Republicans in the state House and Senate build on their successes of this past legislative session by voicing the common sense values that we share as hard-working taxpayers. As a hard working police officer with a young family, I know what it takes to make ends meet living in the state, and I believe in spending every dollar wisely. As State Representative for the town of Avon and Canton in my sixth year, I know all too well what the problems are that face small towns like ours. And as someone who was first elected to the General Assembly by knocking off a 14 year incumbent running for Speaker by just over 30 votes, I know what it takes to win tough elections. This year’s election for the 8th District State Senate seat will inevitably be a tough battle as the Democrats seek to regain their veto-proof majority in the Senate, and enlarging their numbers.  I can assure you that I am up to the challenge of being your voice in the State Senate.

Sincerely,

Kevin Witkos
